The Art of Social Media, Guy Kawasaki

If you want to take your presence in social media to the next level I sincerely recommend to read this book. @GuyKawasaki is an expert on the subject; He has worked with many different companies and firms including Apple and Google. What I love about this book is that he goes straight to the point and shows you how to do everything. Amazon

“Social Media is Simple: If you share good stuff, people will reshare it, and you’ll get more interaction and more followers. Everything else is optimization (or delusion)” – Guy Kawasaki

The Art of the Start 2.0, Guy Kawasaki

Definitively one of the best guides I’ve read about launching a new product, service, or idea. If you want to know what it is really involved in the process of launching a new business you must read this book. Amazon

“Entrepreneurship is about doing, not learning to do” – Guy Kawasaki

The 4-hour Work Week, Tim Ferris

Definitely the best guide on how to define what are the most important things in your life, how to eliminate the unnecessary, how to automate cash flows and your everyday tasks, and how to liberate you from 9-5 work. Amazon

“The question you should be asking yourself isn’t, “What do I want” or “What are my goals?” but “What would excite me?” – Tim Ferris

REWORK, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson

Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, founders of 37signals, share some interesting ideas on how to run a business more productively and efficient. They definitively toss out the old business rules and shows us a better and easier way to succeed. I think this book is perfect if you are interested on running an internet-based business. Amazon

“Start a business not a start up. Focus on a business plan that generates money from day 1.” – REWORK

The Lean Startup, Eric Ries

The Lean Startup is one my favorite books that I’ve read so far. The author, Eric Ries, talks about the learnings found while working on his startup IMVU. This book focuses on validated learning and build-measure-learn feedback. Rather than wasting time creating elaborate business plans, the idea is to test your vision continuously- to adapt and adjust before is to late. Amazon

“The only way to win is to learn faster than anyone else.” – Eric Ries
